Dr Peter Jones
Dr Peter Jones began his career in biochemical genetics at the University of St Andrews followed by a PhD in Cambridge at the beginning of the Human Genome Programme. His career began in various departments of bio-chemistry and clinical genetics including St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London and Karolinska Hospital, Stockholm followed by further research at Cambridge University. A more recent history includes the founding of three start-up biotechnology companies and as a consultant to various companies concerned with applying the fruits of the Human Genome Programme. He has an ongoing interest in DNA from both archaeological and forensic sources and is firmly committed to the pursuance of human rights.
