Howard Morrison OBE QC
Howard Morrison was educated in Germany and the UK (LLB London). He was involved in VSO work in Ghana, Zambia and Malawi in his early career interspersed with four years in the Queens Regiment as an Infantry Officer. Called to the Bar by Grays Inn in 1977 he practiced a mixture of criminal, civil and family work until becoming Resident then Chief Magistrate of Fiji 1986-8, concurrently Senior Magistrate of Tuvalu. He was Attorney General of Anguilla 1988-9 and awarded an OBE in 1988. Private practice followed and from 1997 to the present he has specialized in cases involved with war crimes and international humanitarian law, laws of war and genocide, defending at the ad-hoc tribunals in The Hague and Arusha. He has been a Recorder of the Crown Court since 1994 and Queens Counsel since 2001.
