Paul Cheetham
Paul Cheetham graduated with a BSc in Archaeological Sciences from the University of Bradford in 1985. He worked on post-excavation analysis for the West Yorkshire Archaeology Service for three year before returning to the University of Bradford to undertake research into computational approaches to archaeological databases. During periods of employment as a research assistant undertaking teaching, being involved in computer-based teaching systems and managing the School's archaeological contracts, he developed an expertise in archaeological geophysical survey. In 1994 he became involved in the forensic application of geophysical and archaeological techniques, subsequently teaching the subject and being a founding member of the Forensic Search Advisory Group. Paul took up a post at Bournemouth University in 1998 as Lecturer in Archaeology and Deputy Course Leader for the MSc Forensic Archaeology, where he teaches and researches archaeological and near-surface geophysical techniques and applications. He has worked in the field in Kosovo and extensively in the UK where he has been involved with over thirty police investigations.
