Khawar Qureshi

Barrister, The Chambers of Lord Neill of Bladen QC, Junior Counsel to the Crown and Visiting Lecturer in International Law, King’s College, London. He has been listed in the A Chambers and Partners’ Directory since 1996 as a leading Junior in the field of Constitutional and Administrative Law, and in the Legal 500 Directory as a leader in the field of Public International Law. Experienced in Commercial, Constitutional and International Law, Khawar Qureshi has advised and opposed various governments on a range of matters including: extradition, commerce and constitution; state immunity, treaty drafting and interpretation. He has been involved in the Former Yugoslavia in peace talks and negotiations, including the Dayton Accord of 1995. In the field of Judicial Review, he has appeared and advised on matters relating to education, mental health and financial services. Khawar Qureshi has undertaken several radio and TV interviews (Radio 5 Live, BBC World, CNN). He has been interviewed and participated in debates on subjects such as Law Reform, War Crimes and the Bosnian Peace Talks / Peace Treaty. He is involved with numerous initiatives to bring people together from the various faiths, whether at professional, theological, political, student level or generally.
