Jon Snow
Jon Snow has been a journalist with ITN since 1976. He has worked in many areas of conflict ranging from the Middle East through Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan to India and Pakistan, East and Southern Africa, and Central and Latin America. He has been exposed to many of the issues thrown up by the struggle for human rights. He is a member of the Journalists’ branch of Amnesty International and the Deputy Chair of the Media Trust – an enabling organisation that forges links between journalists and the voluntary sector. He was also the founder of ‘On the Line’, a coalition between Channel 4, Oxfam, WWF, Christian Aid and Action Aid which developed links through the eight countries on the Greenwich Meridian.
