Sandi Toksvig

The daughter of a Danish foreign correspondent, Sandi Toksvig graduated with a first class degree in law from Cambridge University and went on to pursue a varied career in entertainment. She has made hundreds of comedy programmes for television and radio as well as taking part in many political broadcasts such as 'Question Time' for BBC 1 and 'Any Questions' for Radio 4. Sandi has also travelled extensively including sailing around Britain and canoeing across Africa. Much of Sandi's time is devoted to writing and she has published six children's books, two adults novels, two travel books and this autumn, two more volumes - one about America today and one about a lady Victorian traveller. June sees the premier of her first musical play with songs by Dillie Keane of Fascinating Aida. Her work centres around on concepts of communication in its many forms. Sandi contributes to many charitable organisations and is firmly committed to human rights initiatives.
