Mark Viner

Chief Executive and Regional Coordinator - Latin America

FCR, MSc, HDCR, DipFMS, DipFHID, MFSSoc, RFP, SRR
Mark Viner has over 25 years experience as a radiographer and radiology manager in the United Kingdom and most recently as Senior Project Manager for Clinical Development at St Bartholomew's & The Royal London Hospitals.

He is a Fellow of Cranfield University Forensic Institute with a particular interest in trauma and forensic imaging, and the management of major incidents and disasters. He is a founder member and first chair of the International Association of Forensic Radiographers (IAFR). He is Forensic Radiography advisor to the Government Office for London and is a team co-ordinator of the IAFR UK Forensic Radiography Response Team.

As forensic radiography advisor and team leader for the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (1996 - 2001), he has worked extensively in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo and was also Consultant Forensic Radiographer for the UN Mission in Sierra Leone, the UN Office of Missing Persons in Kosovo and for a number of high-profile cases in the UK and abroad. He is actively involved in post-graduate education, holding visiting lectureships at a number of universities in the UK. 

He has contributed to several forensic texts and publications and is currently co-editing the second edition of Brogdon's Forensic Radiology. He regularly presents papers at international conferences. He is a Winston Churchill Fellow and was awarded the Fellowship of the College of Radiographers in 2005.
