Interested in osteo-archaeology?

Want to learn how to excavate human remains?

Always wanted to experience funerary archaeology?

If your answer to any or all of the above questions is ‘yes’, you may want to consider
learning more about our programme for June 2008!

The Centre for Archaeological and Forensic Analysis (CAFA) at Cranfield University is
continuing its research and teaching excavation at the Royal Hospital Haslar in
Gosport, UK. Students from the MSc programme in Forensic Archaeology &
Anthropology will spend two weeks learning and practicing the skills needed in
excavating, documenting and recovering human remains.

For the first time, CAFA in co-operation with the Inforce Foundation is opening
up the programme to include other students or professionals to join those of
Cranfield University. In a small group of up to 10 participants, you will be
introduced amongst many other things by expert supervisors in skills like:

n General excavation techniques

n Specific excavation techniques for human remains

n Surveying, recording and documenting human remains
