News and press interest – 5th November 2003

Inforce has returned to Rwanda to further discuss and advise on the creation of memorials of the 1994 genocide with the Aegis Trust. It is hoped these will be completed for the 10th anniversary.

Continuing our Comic Relief grant work, many meetings have taken place and we are progressing our study regarding the development of forensic archaeological and anthropological education programmes to enable the Rwandese to investigate their legacy graves. It is hoped this will empower them, allowing them more control towards the justice which is so deserved whilst also giving them closure on the events of the past.

Closure to help reconcile; memorials so genocide will never be forgotten.
